PDR Appraisal Open Forum: Wednesday 13 May, 1pm – 2pm (Charles West Room)
As part of the launch of the new PDR Appraisal Policy, and paperwork, Geoff Speed and Abigail Hopewell are hosting a drop-in Open Forums.
The purpose of the forums will be to explain and discuss:
- Key points/changes in the new PDR appraisal policy.
- How the PDR appraisal cycle will affect when staff must have their PDR appraisal.
- The PDR appraisal paperwork which has been updated and enhanced.
- Any queries you have which are not already answered by what’s on GOLD here, or the policy here
This session is aimed at appraisers/line managers, and is designed to be informal and discursive.

Power, Politics and Persuasion: Thursday 14 May, 9am – 5pm
This two-day programme introduces you to leadership and includes a detailed explanation of the NHS.
It focuses on the local health economy, exploring the relationships and tensions between NHS organisations, offering participants a safe forum to test the water and identify the means and opportunities for integrated working within the NHS family.
This programme focuses on some of the current challenges facing health professionals including the White Paper, reconfiguration, practice based commissioning, public health, patient safety and media interest.
